Job Title: Director for retail market opening
Adam has a long track record in commodities spending the last 15 years in the private sector at Merrill Lynch, Shell, Centrica and Enron, and the preceding 12 years in public sector roles as an Economist at Ofgem, the Bank of England and Australian Treasury. He has had significant experience in energy market opening with involvement in policy, regulatory and commercial contracting in both GB and European markets in gas and power. He provided representations directly and as part of trade associations including the European Federation of Energy Traders and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, dealing with Regulators and law makers involved in commodities and financial regulation. He is currently the Senior Responsible Officer for the Retail Market Opening programme and has been working at Ofwat for the past year.
